Making a lamp - cutting and gluing the kumiko

The kumiko forms the frame to which I glue the washi (paper). I make all the kumiko removeable so I can easily replace the washi, if necessary. Initially, I make the kumiko fit very tightly, then lightly sand them so that they slide out and in effortlessly.
